Munich

Welcome to Bavaria, Germany's Texas! We arrived on the last day of Oktoberfest, which coincided with German Unification Day and the 500th Anniversary of the Bavarian Beer Laws. Men and women filled the streets wearing their best lederhosen and drinking bottled beer like soda. Our tour of the city was capped off with the bells and joust at the Glockenspiel Clock Tower. Then we stopped by local shops on the walk back to the hotel for leberkässemmel sandwiches and souvenirs.
